If you install the tiles when it’s too hot or too cold in your room, it may interfere with how well the tiles stick to the floor. When using larger format tiles, a suitable S1 BAL PTB (Pourable Thick Bed) adhesive should be used. When tiling onto plywood overlaid timber we recommend using a flexible adhesive (S1) such as Topps Tiles Rapid Set Flexible, BAL Rapid-Flex Fibre or BAL Flex Fibre. Subfloor or plywood flooring: if the subfloor is clean and smooth, you can apply the adhesive tiles to it. Or you can remove the tiles and thinset below, then apply a thin subfloor over it before applying your peel and stick vinyl tiles.
